Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I pay for a caregiver?
There are many options when it comes to paying for a caregiver. Here are the most common:

  • Private pay
  • Special needs trust
  • Workman's comp
  • Health Insurance
  • State auto insurance (MI residents)

Will my health insurance cover a caregiver?
Many health insurances, including Workman's Comp, will pay for a caregiver if your needs meet the requirements. These requirements can vary and depend on which provider you are with and in which State you reside. AdvisaCare works with a number of insurances so call us and we'll discuss what options are available.

What does a Caregiver do?
A Caregiver can help you do many of the things you would normally do yourself, such as keep up with housework, laundry and grocery shopping. Medically trained Caregivers can help with the more complicated things such as catheter changes, bowel management, and ventilator maintenance. We can provide different types of Caregivers depending on your needs - let us help you find the Caregiver or Caregiving team that is right for you!

What kind of Caregiver do I need?
Deciding on which Caregiver you need can be tricky which is why we spend time with you and your family to get to know you and your needs. We customize every care plan, giving you the personalized attention you deserve. From Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs), we don't rest until we find the right fit for you!
